Thank you for your interest in Spetses. I am designing Spetses as a summation of everything I do in the artistic sphere. To that end, I now engage in two main pursuits.

First, as a photographer – I am a portrait, nature and architectural photographer currently based in Amsterdam (the Netherlands), previously active in Japan, Canada, and the United Kingdom. For portrait photography, my primary interest is in elegance – that is, everything as a matter of choice. The photographer is then required to make a number of spontaneous decisions as to what ‘works’ and what does not. The main question is how to ascertain overall harmony of everything within the frame, which bespeaks the sitter. All is a matter of ratio. Regarding nature/landscape photography, I am particularly fond of scenes that convey a sense of tranquility. I attach some examples of my nature and architectural works below.

Second, as a writer – going beyond photography, I am an ardent ambassador of beauty, elegance in everything, and it is a critical aspect of my thinking. In this connection, I am currently preparing a manuscript on how language invites us to appreciate the essence of beauty.

I have also previously served as an aesthetic advisor to help, among others, choose which attire and other items to acquire, present oneself in public, and design music album cover and artwork. For a most notable work, please refer to Ulysees by Justin Nozuka.

In addition to these, I am a legal researcher by training, having studied at Leiden, Utrecht, Edinburgh, and Cambridge (Trinity College). My main interest is in the international law of human rights, and I am serving at a court to uphold the rule of law at the global level.

If you would like to discuss concerning any of these matters, please feel free to contact me.
